We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead the delivery of highway infrastructure projects across the North West / Manchester area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional with a strong engineering and project management background to take ownership of major schemes, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Experience working for a Highways contractor delivering Highways schemes is a must.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, from planning and programme management to stakeholder engagement and health & safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
路Lead and manage the successful delivery of highways projects, ensuring all project milestones are met.
路Develop and maintain project programmes, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely completion.
路Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and quality standards.
路Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and value engineering.
路Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progression.
路Provide technical leadership and problem-solving support to project teams.
路Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and local authorities, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
路Prepare and present project reports, progress updates, and risk assessments.
路Drive continuous improvement and innovation within project delivery.
Requirements:
路Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
路Proven experience managing and delivering highways, infrastructure, or heavy civil engineering projects.
路Strong knowledge of construction programming, project planning, and cost control.
路Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
路Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
路Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
路Full UK Driving Licence.
