A long established and highly successful Regional Building Contractor are looking to appoint a Project Manager to join their team. The company deliver a wide range of new build and refurbishment projects for public and private sector clients up to 50m. The first project you will be responsible for delivering is a high rise residential project in Manchester.

The Project Manager will hold full responsibility for the management and delivery of a project, from inception through to project handover.

Project Manager role will include:

  • Help develop the projects main works programmes and ensure that no work commences on site until the health and safety policy and the relevant construction phase plan is in place.
  • Provide leadership and support to the site team and help to develop people within your Team
  • Comply with the requirements of the company's Quality Procedure and Manual
  • Manage all sub-contractors and supply chain effectively
  • Ensure best practices and quality are being maintained
  • Be proactive in the identification and resolution of problems
  • Ensuring the project runs to program and budget
  • Work closely and liaise as required with the design team
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the client and their representatives
  • Monitor the progress of the project and manage issues as they arise

Knowledge skills & experience

  • Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering projects over 10m at Project Manager level for Main Contractors
  • Previous experience of delivering city centre apartments or other multi occupancy projects as the Project lead
  • Experience of Project Planning
  • Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills
  • Strong Commercial awareness
  • Excellent working knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies and processes
