We are currently seeking a talented and driven Project Manager to join a newly developed team in Manchester to lead the delivery of a prestigious new University/NHS combined project.
The Project:
This landmark project will see the creation of a state-of-the-art facility that will transform healthcare education and delivery in the region. The project will involve the construction of a new teaching hospital, research laboratories, and student accommodation.
The Role:
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of this complex project from inception to completion. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage the project budget and programme, and ensure that all works are carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the project programme and budget.
- Lead the project team and manage all stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Manage the procurement process and appoint subcontractors.
- Monitor progress against the programme and budget and take corrective action as necessary.
- Resolve any issues that may arise during the project.
- Ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Experience of working on complex projects.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience of working on healthcare projects.
- Membership of a relevant professional body.
- Experience of using project management software.
