A leading transport organisation is seeking a Senior Developer to join its Transport Appraisal, Modelling, and Economics team. This role involves leading the development and maintenance of web products, including the organization's website and data visualization dashboards. Responsibilities include delivering scripts, software, and web services to support data, analytics, and assurance functions.

This is a unique opportunity to develop scalable, high-impact technical products that engage partners, stakeholders, and the public. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, manage projects, and deliver innovative solutions within set timelines.

The role also supports transport analysis and appraisal, contributing to a broader analytical framework designed to enhance transport analytics and inform future investment decisions.

Essential skills and experience needed:

• Web Development & Scripting: Strong experience in designing scripts, software, and web services, with knowledge of wireframing tools (preferably Microsoft Azure).
• Front-End & Data Visualisation: Expertise in developing static and dynamic web services, including visualizations, interactive GIS models, and static pages using JavaScript, Python, or PHP.
• Website Management: Proven ability to build, manage, and code websites effectively.
• Public & Stakeholder Engagement: Confidence in representing the organization in professional forums.
• Data Interpretation: Ability to analyze complex data using specialist tools and techniques.
• Project & Workload Management: Experience in planning, managing projects, and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
• Reporting & Documentation: Skilled in preparing clear reports and code documentation.
• User Communication: Effective communication with clients and users of scripts, software, and web services.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including strategic partners.
• Technical Strategy: Sufficient expertise to contribute to long-term service planning.
