About the Role for the Senior Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a dynamic Manchester-based Project Management team. If you're a motivated professional with 5+ years of experience, confident in managing multiple projects and clients within the government, bluelight, and defence sectors, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career.
We're looking for a self-starter with extensive pre- and post-contract experience, strong knowledge of local authorities and healthcare Trusts, and the flexibility for occasional UK travel.
As a Senior Project Manager at, you'll also have the opportunity to mentor colleagues, support graduates and trainees, and contribute to our established APC training programme.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Project Manager
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of projects, ensuring high-quality execution.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, engaging positively and proactively.
- Develop project management strategies and oversee successful delivery.
- Implement effective processes and systems for project success.
- Prepare cost plans, feasibilities, and optioneering reports.
- Assess, track, and report on change management initiatives.
- Oversee risk management and drive value management strategies.
- Collaborate with the supply chain to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and designers to streamline project workflows.
- Manage sub-consultants and construction managers, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Attend and chair key project meetings to drive progress.
Skills & Expertise for the Senior Project Manager
- 5+ years of experience in project management.
- Strong verbal, numerical, and report/proposal writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with clients and internal teams.
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation abilities.
- Flexible and deadline-driven, able to manage multiple projects at various stages.
- Experience delivering large-scale projects (up to 100m).
- Expertise in JCT and NEC contracts.
- BTR (Build to Rent) experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with multi-disciplinary organizations.
- Ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
