Manchester Staff is looking for aSamples & Showroom Merchandiser to play a pivotal role in managing our extensive samples library and ensuring that all items are accurately catalogued, well-maintained, and readily accessible. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring our showrooms are pristine, fully stocked, and always prepared for client visits. This role also involves supporting sample shipments, assisting with client meetings, and contributing to the seamless operation of showroom presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the upkeep of the sample collection, including cleaning, inspection, and ensuring everything is in good condition and available.
  • Assist with the management of the sample database, ensuring accurate labelling, updating inventory with new products, and removing discontinued items as needed.
  • Handle the transportation of samples, including delivering and retrieving items as required.
  • Aid in the selection and careful packing of samples for clients, ensuring all necessary paperwork, such as shipping documentation and customs forms, is accurate.
  • Report any missing or damaged samples promptly to the Samples & Showroom Manager.
  • Participate in supplier visits to discuss sample updates and inventory adjustments as necessary.
  • Assist with tracking all sample movements in and out, maintaining precise records in the sample database.
  • Inspect returned samples for any damage and address accordingly.
  • Communicate daily sample delivery details to the team.
  • Support the preparation and setup of client presentations off-site, helping during client meetings or showroom tours while anticipating needs and assisting with the flow of discussions.
  • Help prepare for hosting important visitors, including arranging the client area, ensuring refreshments are available, setting up and serving meals, and managing post-event cleanup.
  • Collaborate with the Samples & Showroom Manager to merchandise the showroom, ensuring high-demand and high-margin products are prominently displayed.
  • Provide support to the Business Development Manager (BDM) and Project Team in preparing for showroom meetings.
  • Foster strong working relationships with colleagues and communicate effectively across all teams.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all storage and check-in areas are orderly and clearly labelled
  • Stay informed about the company’s brand portfolio and products, ensuring strong brand knowledge.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the company brand.
  • Adhere to company values, incorporating them into daily tasks and interactions.
  • Take a proactive, hands-on approach to the role when needed.
