To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

· Experience of working within stroke/neurorehabilitation neuropsychology services in either community or inpatient settings

· Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team within NHS Services

· Registration as a Clinical Psychologist with the HCPC

· Experience of providing supervision and training

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of:

· Relevant Qualifications

· Registration with the relevant Registration Body

Role responsibilities:

· To contribute to the service delivery and target objectives/priorities of Psychological Services Division (Manchester) within the area of specialism, in agreement with relevant managers, to ensure the most efficient and effective utilization and contribution of psychological knowledge and practice.

· To highly undertake specialist neuropsychological assessments of clients referred to the service based upon the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care.

· To formulate and implement plans in conjunction with other professionals, for the formal psychological treatment and/or rehabilitation of a client’s neuropsychological problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the client’s problems and family/carer needs and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy, across a range of care settings.

· To be responsible for implementing a range of neuropsychological and rehabilitative interventions for individuals, carers, families, and groups, within the clinical service, adjusting and refining psychological formulations drawing upon different explanatory models and maintaining a number of provisional hypotheses.
