  • Strategically sourcing and purchasing indirect materials to support business operations.
  • Working closely with suppliers and building strong relationships
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies
  • Managing and monitoring supplier performance
  • Identifying and delivering cost saving opportunities
  • Ensuring continuity of supply and mitigating risks
  • Participating in cross-functional team projects
  • Adhering to industry and company policies and procedures

Profile

A successful Indirect Buyer should have:

  • A degree in business, supply chain, or a related field
  • Proven track record in a procurement role within the construction industry
  • Category experience in HR, FM, Health & Safety and Mobile Plant - if not in all then in a few at least
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of procurement systems and tools
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • High level of business acumen
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing and purchasing
