A role has opened for an ambitious Indirect Buyer to join a dedicated Procurement team. The successful candidate will work within the construction industry, based in Manchester, and will be responsible for strategic sourcing and purchasing.

Description
- Strategically sourcing and purchasing indirect materials to support business operations.
- Working closely with suppliers and building strong relationships
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies
- Managing and monitoring supplier performance
- Identifying and delivering cost saving opportunities
- Ensuring continuity of supply and mitigating risks
- Participating in cross-functional team projects
- Adhering to industry and company policies and procedures
Profile
A successful Indirect Buyer should have:
- A degree in business, supply chain, or a related field
- Proven track record in a procurement role within the construction industry
- Category experience in HR, FM, Health & Safety and Mobile Plant - if not in all then in a few at least
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of procurement systems and tools
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- High level of business acumen
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing and purchasing
