Our dynamic client, a thriving homewares brand, is seeking an experience Senior Buyer to join their fast-paced and energetic team. This role is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to make a significant impact in a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse consumer buying patterns and predict future trends in home goods
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, particularly with partners in China and India
  • Implement and manage end-to-end best practices including QA, sourcing, supply chain, and warehousing
  • Attend trade shows and visit factories as required
  • Work with Assistant buyer and buyer
  • Lead product development meetings and facilitate design selection for ranges
  • Develop range costing sheets and engage in range building
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Marketing teams
  • Prepare and analyse annual budgets
  • Manage pricing and overall promotion of multiple product categories
  • Optimize sales through close collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Ensure comprehensive understanding of market performance
  • Continuously assess consumer, customer, supplier, and competitor landscapes

Experience

  • Experience in strategic sourcing and supplier selection
  • Homewares/ Fashion background
  • Knowledge of dealing with grocers preferred
  • Proven track record in a fast-paced, ambitious environment
  • Strong analytical skills for consumer trend prediction and budget management
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for building supplier relationships
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
