The business are rapidly expanding across European and USA markets, and this role will be situated within a busy supply chain team. Role scope
Working in a team of 2 planners and 1 senior planner, the Supply Chain Demand Planner will take responsibility for Sales Forecasting, Demand Planning, Order Management, Supplier Management, Fulfilment, and Commercial Analysis in order for the business to fulfil it's contractual obligations.
Responsibilities
Sales Forecasting
Utilising sales reports, information from the commercial sales team and customers to calculate sales forecasts for individual products
Demand Planning
Utilising information from suppliers, sales forecasts and existing stock to determine future requirement from manufacturers
Order Management
To place and manage orders with suppliers for finished goods.
Supplier Management
To measure and review supplier performance and work with them to enable improvement.
To communicate and manage supplier disputes
Shipping
To interact with manufacturers, shipping / customs agents, logistics partners and warehouse operations to ensure receipt of stock in line with demand planning.
Commercial Analysis
To monitor and negotiate product and shipping costs to maximise product margin.
Inventory Analysis
To identify inventory issues, stock outs and over stocks taking action to minimise business impact
Direct Containers, Exporting and International Deliveries
Managing fulfilment of direct containers from manufacturing, export and international deliveries
Requirements
The successful candidate will have prior demand planning and forecasting experience, managing a large product base, ideally within the manufacturing or distribution sector. Good commercial acumen is required as the role will involve close partnerships with product managers, commercial, sales, finance and operational teams.
