Are you an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking for the next step in your career?

This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking Tier 1 contractor who has a turnover of over 500m and specialise in high rise residential developments, student accommodation and large scale infrastructure with projects valued in excess of 150m.

They have delivered some of the most exciting developments across the North West and due to their success and growth they are now looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Manchester.

The role - Assistant Quantity Surveyor

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be a key part of the team and will support the Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor with a number of duties as well as being responsible for a number of packages on your own as well.

The initial project is a large 40m high rise development in the city centre which consists of 18 stories, commercial units on the bottom and a sub-basement car park and you will be responsible for the following duties (Including but not limited to):

Assisting in the preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client.
Sub-contract procurement including sending out enquiries, collating prices, negotiation, order placement.
Sub-contract valuations and payments in connection with any contract.
Assisting with the preparation of internal cost reporting measures.
Maintaining quality control procedures.
Undertaking all tasks in a timely fashion and as required by management.
Ensure cash flow is maximized.
