We are searching for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor that has gained solid commercial experience and is now looking to join a consultancy and gain further knowledge and experience across multiple industries and projects.

The Role

In this role, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of Cost & Project Management business requirements. You will be given expert guidance and development with a view to ultimately undertaking your own projects and being self-sufficient in this role.

You will engage in the full range of commercial and contractor support and work across multiple projects across the North West. These projects can range from extensions for small contractors, through to large civils projects, high value buildings to specialist energy contractors and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive commercial support including Measurement, Estimating, Contract Review/Administration & procurement.
  • Manage interim valuations, variation management, cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and final account settlements.
  • Engage in project management activities to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and specialist contractors.

Key Skills:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
  • 2+ years’ experience in subcontracting, contracting, or PQS would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work autonomously and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professionalism, approachability, and a strong team player.
  • A dedication to achieving RICS accreditation.
  • A strong passion for continuous improvement and further development.
  • Strong relationship building, communication, and presentation skills.
