Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

The company work on a variety of projects in the industrial, residential, commercial, leisure and sport sectors with projects ranging in value from 10m - 300m and due to the growth within the business and their continued success they are now looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Manchester.
The role - Assistant Quantity Surveyor
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be working within an established team and will report into the Project QS & Senior QS on site. The initial project is a 12m industrial unit in Manchester and you will be responsible for the following duties & responsibilities:
- Assist in the timely preparation of valuations, submissions of invoices and receipt of payment
- Assist in the prompt preparation and settlement of final accounts
- Develop an understanding of principle unit costs of resources
- Procure materials and off site services in an efficient manner

- Develop an understanding of the importance of the supply chain to deliver continuous improvement in terms of time, cost, quality and learning of all parties
- Contribute to the production of accurate and timely CVR reports and forecast
- Develop an understanding of the need for accurate and robust reporting structures
- Adhere to subcontract change control procedures
- Support the preparation of all necessary subcontract notices accurately and on time
Required experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor?
- Have a degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Previous main contracting experience would be preferred
- Good commercial acumen
- Good attention to detail
