Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Due to the growth within the business and their continued success they are now looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Manchester.
The company work on a variety of projects in the industrial, residential, commercial, leisure and sport sectors with projects ranging in value from 10m - 300m.
The role - Assistant Quantity Surveyor
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be working within an established team and will report into the Project QS & Senior QS on site. The initial project is based in Manchester and you will be responsible for the following duties & responsibilities:
- Assist in the timely preparation of valuations, submissions of invoices and receipt of payment
- Assist in the prompt preparation and settlement of final accounts
- Develop an understanding of principle unit costs of resources
- Procure materials and off site services in an efficient manner

- Develop an understanding of the importance of the supply chain to deliver continuous improvement in terms of time, cost, quality and learning of all parties
- Contribute to the production of accurate and timely CVR reports and forecast
- Develop an understanding of the need for accurate and robust reporting structures
- Adhere to subcontract change control procedures
- Support the preparation of all necessary subcontract notices accurately and on time
Required experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor?
- Have a degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Previous main contracting experience would be preferred
- Good commercia acumen
- Good attention to detail
