Our client has seen rapid growth and are now looking for an Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

About the Role:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting the Commercial Manager to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with cost analysis to inform tender preparation.

  • Identifying commercial risks and developing suitable responses.

  • Monitoring and controlling costs throughout project lifecycles.

  • Managing cost variations and tracking budget changes.

  • Preparing and analysing project costings, including materials, labour, and time.

  • Liaising between managers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless communication and project execution.

  • Producing and presenting analytical reports as required.

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying (preferred).

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience in customer-facing roles, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • The ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.

  • A disciplined, organized approach to work.

  • The capacity to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
