Assistant Quantity Surveyor

This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work with a Tier 1 contractor specialising in high rise residential developments and large-scale infrastructure with projects valued in excess of £100m.

About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

You will be working as part of a commercial team with support from the lead quantity surveyor and on-site managing packages from tender through to final accounts on a large £75m high rise development.

  • Assisting in preparing budgets, cost plans and valuations
  • Working closely with operations, design and health and safety teams towards key project targets
  • Supporting to ensure timely agreement of final accounts with your supply chain packages
  • Supporting the monitoring of cost control and implement cost mitigation strategies, assessing risk, at all times acting fairly and reasonably

Requirements for Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Relevant degree or construction related qualifications.
  • Superb organisation skills, including time management, prioritisation of tasks and self-motivation.
  • Detail oriented, you'll need to have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality
