With projects ranging up to £5 million, the company is involved in a mix of office fit-outs, leisure, and other commercial developments across the North of England, including Leeds, Manchester, and as far south as Stoke. We are seeking a versatile Quantity Surveyor with the ability to also take on Estimating duties to join our team.Position OverviewThe Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the financial management of projects, while also assisting with pricing and estimating. The role requires someone experienced and capable of hitting the ground running, with the ability to work on a variety of sectors and deliver projects up to £5 million. The successful candidate will start off primarily in office fit-out projects but must be flexible and willing to adapt to other sectors such as leisure. This is a client-facing role that offers hybrid working after the initial office-based induction period.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Pricing: Prepare accurate cost estimates for a range of projects, ensuring competitive pricing and alignment with project specifications.Cost Management: Oversee and manage project costs from start to finish, ensuring profitability and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.Contract Management: Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documentation, including bills of quantities.Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are met and any issues are resolved promptly.Risk and Value Management: Identify risks and opportunities, providing cost-effective solutions and value engineering where appropriate.Project Delivery: Manage multiple projects up to £5 million, ensuring on-time delivery, budget compliance, and quality standards.Flexibility Across Sectors: Work on projects across various sectors, including office fit-outs and leisure, adapting to different project types and client requirements.Hybrid Working: Work from the office initially to familiarise with systems and team, with flexible working arrangements (up to 3 days WFH) once settled.Key RequirementsExperience: Ideally 5+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, with proven ability to carry out estimating duties and handle projects independently.Experience delivering projects up to £5 million, with a focus on office fit-outs and adaptability to work on leisure and other sectors.Client-Facing Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building lasting client relationships and managing expectations.Technical Expertise: Competent in preparing estimates, managing costs, and preparing contract documents such as bills of quantities.Flexibility: Must be adaptable and open to working across multiple sectors, not restricted to any single industry.Location Flexibility: Able to travel for projects across the North of England, including Leeds, Manchester, and Stoke.Software Proficiency: Familiar with relevant quantity surveying and estimating software, as well as MS Office.What We OfferSalary: Competitive salary package based on experience (DOE).Flexible Working: Hybrid working model (initially office-based with up to 3 days WFH after settling in).Career Progression: Opportunity to take on more responsibility and develop a dual skillset in Quantity Surveying and Estimating.Varied Projects: Work across a range of sectors and project types, offering both challenge and variety.Supportive Environment: Be part of a collaborative team with opportunities for professional growth.Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
