Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Manchester (Various Project Sites)
Salary: £65,000 to £80,000

Role Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful financial management of multiple construction projects in and around Manchester. You will be responsible for overseeing all cost aspects, ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial performance of projects valued between £10 million and £30 million.
- Prepare accurate cost plans, valuations, and cash flow forecasts.
- Oversee contract negotiations and subcontractor management.
- Conduct risk, value management, and cost control activities.
- Prepare and submit progress reports and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, conditions, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and design teams to ensure accurate project delivery.
- Monitor and control project budgets, reporting any deviations or potential savings.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and adjust forecasts accordingly.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a proven track record on projects valued between £10 million and £30 million. Ideally within High Rise Apartments and City Builds.
- Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. RICS accreditation is desirable.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in cost management software (such as CostX or similar).
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction contracts (NEC, JCT) and procurement processes.
- Location: Must be based in or around Manchester with the flexibility to travel to different sites within the region.
