Job Title: Quantity Surveyor/Estimator

Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE

Location: Urmston, Manchester- site visits around the area.

About the Role

This role puts you at the heart of project success, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency across a range of civil engineering works. You'll take charge of preparing detailed cost estimates, managing budgets, and ensuring financial controls are spot-on from start to finish. You'll work closely with clients, contractors, and suppliers to keep procurement and tender processes running smoothly.

Our client is a trusted name in the civil engineering and construction world, known for delivering projects that stand the test of time. My client works on a wide range of civil engineering and building projects. They pride themselves on their ability to deliver on time, on budget, and with the highest regard for health and safety.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

A balance of office-based work and site visits

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and detailed budgets for civil engineering projects.

  • Manage cost planning, analysis, and control to ensure efficiency at every stage.

  • Oversee procurement and tender processes, liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

  • Conduct regular site visits to track progress and address financial matters directly.

What Were Looking For

  • A background in civil engineering.

  • A valid drivers licence, as travel to sites is a core part of the role.

  • Solid experience in cost estimation, budget management, and financial analysis.

  • A collaborative approach, with the confidence to engage with various stakeholders.

  • Access to a vehicle.
