Quantity Surveyor - High Rise Developer - Manchester

Role Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and commercial matters on high-rise development projects. From the initial stages through to project completion, you will ensure projects are delivered on budget, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports
- Manage the procurement process, including tendering and contract negotiations
- Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions
- Monitor project costs and report on cost control, ensuring projects are kept within budget
- Identify and manage risks, variations, and changes to the scope of work
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
- Provide support and advice to senior management and project teams
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the high-rise or construction sector
- Strong understanding of cost management, procurement, and contract administration
- Knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (RICS accreditation is desirable)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
