Bennett & Game are working with a well-established Civil Engineering Contractor seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, managing budgets, and overseeing procurement processes for a variety of civil engineering and refurbishment projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting of materials, labour, and overheads.
  • Financial Management: Monitor project costs, analyse variances, and provide regular reports to maintain financial control.
  • Procurement & Tendering: Oversee procurement processes, manage supplier negotiations, and evaluate tender submissions to secure cost-effective solutions.
  • Project Delivery: Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards while adhering to contractual obligations.
  • Risk & Compliance: Identify potential financial risks, implement cost-saving strategies, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and contract frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator within the civil engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of cost management and construction contracts.
  • Ability to work across a range of civil engineering and refurbishment projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A detail-oriented and proactive approach to project delivery.
