Senior Quantity Surveyor

£75,000 - £85,000 + Package

Manchester

Our client, a Main Contractor based in Manchester, are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the North West.

The Senior QS will be working on projects including various new build residential projects across Manchester and the North West with values of up to £20m.

Procurement will be a major part of the role, including negotiating packages of work with our subcontractors and supply chain partners.

The Ideal Candidate

  • An established Senior Quantity Surveyor who has worked with a top tier developer or contractor.
  • You must have experience within the residential sector, preferably within multi-phased development including RC frame blocks.
  • You must have a steady employment history and have experience of managing a team.
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course
  • Competent in use of standard methods of measurement
  • Valid driving license

Main Duties:

  • Review incoming tenders, specifications and contract documentation to analyse risk
  • Prepare and deliver detailed, qualified, well presented tender submissions
  • Attend pre-tender site visits, and undertake site surveys
  • Be proficient using the software.
  • Negotiate with clients to secure contracts
  • Attend pre-contract client meetings, as required
  • Manage subcontractor packages & produce a programme of works
  • Produce valuations, variations and final accounts
