Senior Quantity Surveyor - Permanent - Chorlton Shopping Centre Redevelopment

Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor, with experience of high-rise projects , and are open to being the lead surveyor on a the redevelopment of Chorlton town centre?

We are recruiting for the permanentrole on a behalf of a developer and contractor who have been employed by the client to oversee the development of the scheme ,which starts in January 2025,lasts 3 years and involves the redevelopment of the existing shopping centreto contemporary town houses. The new homes would include one, two and three bedroom apartments and duplexes all with balconies and access to communal residential gardens, and a street of town houses with private gardens and rooftop terraces.

The company, who are recruiting for a Senior QS , is a privately-owned residential developer with a 45-year history of building bespoke homes in prime locations. The company is renowned for restoring and converting listed buildings into unique homes while maintaining a focus on quality and legacy. With a dedicated in-house team and reliable contractors, the companydelivers around 100 bespoke homes annually.

The Senior QS is required to oversee the commercial aspects of the construction of a 10 storey apartment block and would be site based for the duration of the project.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost control, creating Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost management, planning, and reporting for construction projects.

Qualifications & Experience Required :

  • Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Reporting skills
  • Experience in creating Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Cost Planning
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation and analysis
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with stakeholders
  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
  • Professional certification (RICS or equivalent) is a plus
