Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Trafford- Greater Manchester
Salary: £60,000-£70,000 + car allowance & Package

Job Description:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join a dynamic team during a period of immense growth. 

Our client where founded over 30 years ago and have grown dramatically over the past decade. Due to this they are looking to add to an experienced senior Quantity Surveyor/Estimator on a permanent basis!

The ideal candidate must have experience working within both civils, and building contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for projects.
  • Monitor and manage project costs, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
  • Conduct risk assessments and value engineering assessments.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure project efficiency.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on project financials.
  • Mentor and guide junior surveyors, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in quantity surveying within a similar field
  • Strong understanding of construction & civils processes, contracts, and regulations.
  • Proficient in relevant software (e.g., CostX, Sage, MS Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
