Senior Quantity Surveyor - High-Rise Residential

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity to lead a prestigious high-rise residential development in Manchester? We are working with a leading construction contractor on a flagship 60 million project and are seeking a commercially astute professional to join their team.



Role Overview

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of this large-scale high-rise development. You will be responsible for the commercial and contractual management of the project, ensuring financial efficiency, risk mitigation, and profitability.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all quantity surveying duties for the 60M high-rise project, ensuring cost control and budget management.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Work closely with project managers, design teams, and clients to drive commercial success.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Prepare accurate cost reports, forecasts, and financial documentation.
  • Negotiate contracts and variations to maximise project profitability.
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with company standards and industry best practices.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in high-rise residential or commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive project success.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • MRICS qualification (desirable but not essential).
