Role Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in the financial and contractual management of construction projects, ensuring cost control, value maximisation, and financial efficiency. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercial aspects of projects from inception to completion.

  • Prepare and evaluate tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategies.

  • Conduct cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting for project financial performance.

  • Monitor and control project costs, identifying potential risks and opportunities.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Manage variations, valuations, and change control procedures.

  • Provide accurate financial reporting and cost tracking.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations.

  • Support dispute resolution processes and claims management when required.

  • Work collaboratively with site teams, design teams, and clients to drive value engineering solutions.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree (e.g., Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Construction-related discipline).

  • Experience in a Quantity Surveying role within a main contractor environment.

  • Knowledge of standard construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).

  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.

  • Willingness to travel regionally as required.
