About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a leading construction company in Manchester. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and overseeing all aspects of the financial management and contractual management of construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to exciting projects while advancing their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, negotiate, and analyse costs for tenders and contracts.
  • Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
  • Conduct risk, value management, and cost control.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to clients and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with the project team, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Oversee procurement processes, including the selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proficiency in cost estimating, budget management, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or working towards chartership is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
