Role Overview:

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing time-sensitive freight movements across both road and air freight solutions, ensuring smooth and timely deliveries. This role requires proactive engagement with clients and suppliers, providing them with clear and concise information on available logistics options and associated costs. Once a solution is agreed upon, you will act as the project manager, overseeing the entire process to guarantee customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clients to understand their specific delivery needs and provide clear, comprehensive options tailored to their requirements.
  • Advise clients on various logistics solutions and the associated costs, ensuring they make informed decisions.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end logistics process, including scheduling, tracking, and troubleshooting to ensure timely, accurate deliveries.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working with internal teams, carriers, and third-party providers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the delivery process, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and addressing any issues promptly.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in logistics coordination, ideally within road and air freight.
  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex logistics solutions in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in time-critical situations.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of logistics software and tracking systems is a plus.
  • Experience with express freight, time-critical logistics, and/or air freight is highly desirable.
