A property developer have a requirement for an experience Letting Negotiator to join their Lettings team based in Manchester.

The company speciliase in regenerating popular areas, providing a range of accommodation from houses and apartments for individuals, couples and families building gated communities that include a site-based Caretaker, parking and landscaped gardens for tenants to enjoy.

Lettings Negotiator role

Working with a team of Lettings Negotiators you will be responsible for overseeing the lettings on your allocated development. You will be responsible for following up enquiries across their portfolio (new developments and existing developments where properties are reaching the end of their lease period) minimising the time properties are vacant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Following up enquiries by telephone and email and from time to time in person
  • Reserve as many applications 'off plan' as possible to minimise the period a property is empty
  • Supporting the Letting Administrators to ensure customers meet the required criteria before progressing to the referencing stage.
  • Deliver an outstanding service.
  • Build and maintain great relationships.
  • Ensure customer information is recorded accurately with the software system.
  • Ensure registered applicants receive marketing information regularly.
  • Act on inbound calls and emails, ensuring you advise on what units are available for reservation and where possible secure a reservation 'off plan'.
  • Follow up on enquiries that have been made to maximise that potential enquiry.
  • Ensure applicants meet the referencing criteria before reservation.
  • Ensure where possible properties are reserved before they become vacant.
  • Contribute ideas that you believe would benefit the lettings function and will positively contribute to the delivery of the teams KPI's.
  • To carry out such other duties which are consistent with the nature, responsibilities or as necessitated by the needs of the business.

Skills and experience required:

  • Excellent Customer Service experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous Sales/Lettings experience
