Health, Safety & Training Co-ordinator Wythenshawe c£30,000
Working for a leading manufacturing firm this is an integral role supporting both the Health, Safety & Environmental Manager and HR Manager. The role will comprise of administrative and project responsibilities which will give a broad range of experience and opportunity to make a real difference.
Job duties:
- Log accident, near miss, and employee and senior leadership observations
- Assist the HSSE Manager in carrying out risk assessments for both sites and keep the system up to date
- Take minutes of the HSSE Monthly Steering Meetings
- Undertake COSHH assessments following full training
- Carry out internal audits as part of the team approach with specific responsibility for First Aid rooms
- Support the Supervisors with workplace inspections and maintain the tracker and log actions onto the H&S system
- Assist with creating site Health & Safety Plans in line with the business objectives and targets
- Help develop a training matrix and training needs analysis and work with Supervisors to ensure the effective implementation
- Also assisting the HR department to review & revise the induction process and assist in the delivery of induction training
Desirables:
NEBOSH General Certificate
Previous experience of working in a similar HSE or training role
Experience of using databases
Experience of delivering basic training
Basic understanding of the term corporate sustainability
