Compliance Officer

The Role:
We are recruiting for a Compliance Officer to join a support organisation based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong attention to detail and experience in ensuring contractual compliance and managing financial and performance data. You will play a critical role in maintaining robust systems and processes, ensuring accurate claims and audit trails, and supporting project delivery teams in meeting funder and contractual requirements.

Duties:

  • Evaluate and verify claims and supporting evidence to ensure compliance with funder regulations.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation and audit trails to a high standard.
  • Support project delivery teams with claims and compliance issues, providing guidance and ensuring efficient processes.
  • Investigate and resolve queries related to expenditure, procurement, and eligibility.
  • Prepare for funder audits, ensuring that all documentation is comprehensive and compliant.
  • Maintain and update data management systems for accurate reporting and performance analysis.
  • Undertake administrative tasks to support contract management and compliance processes.

Required Skills:

  • Relevant degree, professional qualification, or equivalent business experience.
  • High level of numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and confidence in handling financial/accounting information.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Experience in processing claims and managing compliance with public funding contracts.
  • Ability to understand and manipulate complex data sets accurately and effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
  • Commitment to the organisation’s values, including making a positive difference and working collaboratively.
