Compliance Officer

The Role:
We are recruiting for a Compliance Officer for a medical research organisation based in Manchester. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that laboratory operations and research activities comply with relevant regulations and guidelines. You will support compliance monitoring, maintain ethical standards, and manage non-conformance processes. This role involves working closely with internal teams to uphold regulatory requirements and ensure smooth operations.
Duties:

  • Support compliance activities, attending meetings and ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • Assist in maintaining and developing the Quality Management System (QMS), improving processes where necessary.
  • Act as deputy document controller, ensuring regulated documentation is up to date.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory requirements and communicate updates to the team.
  • Provide support for non-conformance investigations and corrective action management.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in a compliance role within a regulated laboratory or clinical research setting.
  • Knowledge of GCP regulations, document control processes, and non-conformance management.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational, and administrative skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
