TSA Surveying is currently working with a Home Improvement and Installation company based between Manchester and Liverpool, offering a permanent position as a Retrofit Assessor & Compliance Manager. The client carries out Retrofit work across the Northwest through schemes like SHDF, GBIS and the Green Homes Grant.

They have recently secured a large SHDF contract with a housing association and they are looking to grow their team and branch out further into the Retrofit sector. They will be taking on a handful of new Assessors on a freelance basis and are looking to take on an experienced Retrofit Assessor on a permanent basis who is up to date with their technical knowledge to help make sure that everyone is staying compliant.

This will be a majority office based role and you will be an important part of making sure things run smoothly, if you have been in the industry a while you will have seen your fair share of rushed and incomplete surveys - this is where you come in to make sure there are no mistakes being made. It will not only be office work, however, it will also involve going out and getting hands-on, completing assessments yourself.

The role will be a mix of Retrofit Assessment and checking the compliance of other assessors. This will typically include:
  • Going to site and performing Retrofit Assessments on both private and social housing.
  • Assessing the existing gas boiler and heating system andany insulation measures.
  • Drawing up accurate floor plans of the property and carrying out condition reports, along with conducting site-specific assessments.
  • Checking over other assessors surveys and reports to make sure they are staying fully compliant.
  • Making suggestions and helping colleaguesimprove the quality of their RetrofitAssessments.

Applicants must have aLevel 3 Retrofit Assessment Qualification or higher, with experience performing Retrofit Assessments. Any experience in the Energy or Property sectors will also be helpful.
