NICHI is an exciting new sushi and robata concept launching this November. We will be bringing a touch of luxury to Greater Manchester with high-ticket items such as otoro and wagyu available alongside more affordable options such as robata skewers.
We are looking for an experienced, charismatic and motivated Restaurant Manager to work alongside our Managing Partner to catapult Nichi to success. This is a hands-on position and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress to a General Manager position with the planned Nichi expansion.
KEY ASPECTS OF THE ROLE
To lead the team by example with a friendly, charismatic and professional approach
To ensure guest satisfaction and build rapport to establish repeat business
To recruit, train and develop the FOH team
To work closely with the kitchen team to ensure a seamless service
To delegate, support and monitor tasks for the junior management team
To work closely with the Managing Partner to implement strategic plans to drive growth
To be fully accountable of the business in the absence of the MP

Excellent rates of pay up to £40,000 including service charge

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 years experience as a Restaurant Manager in an upscale dining environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good knowledge of wines
Available to start from early November
BENEFICIAL BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
Familiar with Japanese cuisine & ingredients
Experience with new openings
