You will work as member of the Operations Team with specific responsibility for the Rigging Department.

You will work closely with the Board and other departments to develop and implement processes, systems and procedures for the continued improvement and development of the company.

You will have responsibility for the effective management of the resources, people, and equipment within the rigging department, ensuring that all equipment owned or handled by the Company is both maintained and presented in the best possible condition at all times.

You will have responsibility for managing department work flow and leading and managing staff, including casual workers, freelancers, and sub-contractors, in the delivery of the departments work, in line with the overall Company requirements.

The Operations Manager for Rigging ensures that work is carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with current safety legislation. Working closely with the Head of Rigging Safety to ensure that all equipment within the department is inspected and maintained in compliance with current legislation and following the company's own standards and code of practice, and that all associated documentation is accurate and up to date.

Duties & Responsibilities of All Operations Department Managers:

  • Be a positive and dynamic leader; able to engage with, monitor, coach, train and manage all personnel under your line management, to achieve agreed company levels of performance, efficiency, safety, effectiveness, quality, knowledge, skills, and customer service levels..
  • Manage the resources and work of the department.
  • Ensure the responsible storage, safety, good working order and general state of repair of equipment owned or handled by the Company and ensure that all equipment is returned to the Company premises with any faults or damage identified in an efficient and timely fashion, following appropriate processes and procedures.
  • At times of peak activity be present on the shop floor managing the flow of equipment to and from the department.
  • With support of the Head of Rigging Safety, ensure that all equipment prepped and dispatched complies with all testing and inspection regimes and policies, as defined by law and the Company.
  • Undertake inspection, testing and maintenance of equipment ensuring safety, function and general condition are maintained. Supervise the work of your team and others engaged in these activities. and supervise the work of your team and others in these activities.
  • Manage the cleaning and maintenance of equipment to ensure that it is returned to hire availability as efficiently as possible, in accordance with the requirements of the Company.
  • Prepare and configure equipment ready to go out from the Company premises for hire or sale.
  • Manage and Assist in the dispatch and return of equipment from, and to, the Company premises, to include the loading and unloading of vehicles and the transportation of equipment to and from the company premises as required by the needs of the business.
