Spencer Clarke Group are working alongside a highly established, fast-growing firm who are looking to recruit within their Manchester office.

We are looking for someone who is an Assistant Manager looking for the next step up to a Manager, or someone who is currently an Accounts Manager looking to join a well-established top 15 firm.

What does this role entail? Here is a very brief snapshot:

  • Working with a mix of sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, limited liability partnerships, trusts and smaller private charities.
  • Supervising the preparation of year-end financial statements
  • Financial management
  • Building and maintaining client relationships
  • Assisting in the coaching and development of junior team members
  • Ad-hoc advisory projects
  • Experience of preparing year end accounts using accounts production software such as CCH or an equivalent is also required
  • This is a client facing, fast paced role which includes advisory elements and often deals with high-net worth clients.

What are the essentials for this role?

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified and several years' experience of working in practice.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • A good knowledge of Excel and Word is essential
  • Understanding of other accounting systems
  • Self-motivated and pro-active and able to work autonomously
  • Eagerness to learn, work hard and be a collaborative team member'
