About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their expanding team based in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to drive growth in a dynamic and competitive sector, with a particular focus on Smart Metering and Dual Fuel services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in business development and a deep understanding of the energy metering industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the Smart Metering and Dual Fuel sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored proposals, presentations, and bids to meet client needs and drive revenue growth.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including revenue, market share, and client acquisition targets.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand presence and reputation.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Business Development Manager role, with a strong emphasis on the energy, Smart Metering, or Dual Fuel sectors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the UK energy industry, including regulations, market dynamics, and key stakeholders.
