Covering the North -Sales/ Technical Sales / Business Development / Renewable energy / Mechanical Engineer

The Recruitment Group is working with a specialist manufacturer of tools that are mainly utilised for the installation and maintenance of wind turbines and all other areas of mechanical engineering involving bolted joints and flanges. They are an SME with a global presence specialising in high precision bolting technology and are at the forefront of tool innovation combined with unparalleled quality.

Purpose of the Business Development Manager role:

This is a great opportunity for a talented and technically minded sales professional with mechanical and/or hydraulic skills to advance their career and grow and succeed with our organisation.
You will play an important role in our continued success by maximising our product sales and bringing our quality products to the attention of new and existing clients. You will benefit from extensive training in both the UK and as well as regular training throughout your career covering new products, so you can feel confident in your role and our customers receive the very best service.

Main duties and responsibilities of the Business Development Manager role:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Northern UK territory.
  • Keep up to date on industry trends and customer needs.
  • Nurture and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
  • Maximising product sales.
  • Provide excellent customer support and address inquiries or concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with other areas of the business to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • You will ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining regular contact with customers, responding quickly and professionally to enquiries, and following up on quotations and leads.

Experience/knowledge requirements for the Business Development Manager role:

  • Good mechanical and/or hydraulic knowledge
  • Sales skills
  • Good administrative skills combined with strong numeracy and an accurate approach
  • The ability to learn and operate effectively within foreign cultures
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team or on your own
  • A full, valid driving license (preferably clean)
