Business Development Manager – Leading Fish Wholesale Business - £40-45K + Benefits

My client is a leading Fish Wholesale business who have a fantastic reputation for supplying top quality fish products across the globe.

They are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team. The successful Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and increasing sales revenue in major UK cities. You will play a key role in growing our customer base while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and talented Business Development Managers to join a reputable business who can match their ambition and offer genuine progression opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow sales and expand market presence.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the seafood industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with restaurants, retailers, and distributors.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends and customer needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to maximize profitability.

The Ideal Business Development Manager Candidate:

  • Must have proven sales experience, with a track record of winning new business, across the food industry and ideally within Fish & Seafood industry.
  • Knowledge of the Japanese Food industry and ability to speak Japanese will be advantageous but is certainly not essential.
  • Should have a strong entrepreneurial approach and be able to work collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills to all levels.
  • Have a structured approach with a clear view on hitting targets.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
