Key client Freight forwarding supervisor / team leader required for the key client department of this freight forwarder, you will be involved in the full end-to-end operational process managed on behalf of our Key Account Customers. The team works together to ensure that KPI’s (internal and external) are met and where possible exceeded for the key clients. The key client department works with the Ocean Carriers, Hauliers, Rail Operators to ensure everything is booked for a set time & for the required load. This role is in Manchester, depending on your location. The key account freight forwarder team leader is paid at £34-35k salary.
The role
As a key account freight forwarding team leader you will act as a key contact operationally for UK Key Account customers working under the Key Account Manager and the key account department Manager. you will have key account operators working under you. Working with sea, courier, road and air suppliers direct to handle bookings.you will place and manage bookings with suppliers (Ocean Carriers, Hauliers, Rail Operators etc) as requested by the commercial account manager, ensure all processes are completed within the customers agreed KPI’s, this including the below: you will also do Accurate and On Time Invoicing, On Time Documentation, On Time Booking Confirmation. This role is a full end to end including road, air and ocean, it is on key accounts. The role will include all the normal duties of the multi model freight key account freight forwarding team leader
Expeirence
We are looking for a Key client key account freight forwarding team leader who has a Minimum 3 years Export Logistics experience required, either with a forwarder or shipping line, you will have Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, you will be Reliable with a strong work ethic. This role will use cargowise, previous knowledge of cargowise is essential.
