Accounts Assistant/ Sales Ledger Clerk

Location: Manchester- with hybrid working

Salary: circa £23,000 DOE

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant/ Sales Ledger Clerk to join a leading business based in Manchester, on a full time, permanent basis.

This is an ideal role for someone who has some office experience and is looking for their first role within finance. You will support with transactional processing of the Groups accounts receivable function, so you will need excellent data entry and processing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Downloading of daily bank statements.
  • Filing remittance advices.
  • Posting of cash receipts to the Group's financial system.
  • Processing credit note requests.
  • Reviewing supplier statements & identifying payments to be made.
  • Assist with clearing unallocated cash.
  • Taking payments from clients over the phone.
  • Supporting the Group's Accounts Payable team's expenses process as required.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced target driven environment.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.

You'll have great organisational and communication skills. You will be able to use your initiative and work with minimal supervision, whilst being flexible and adaptable.
