JSS are partnered with a recently acquired player in the Renewable Energy services space to recruit an ambitious Finance Assistant

Purpose of the Role/Role Overview:

This roles reports into the Commercial Accountant and will support the business through ensuring the efficient and timely management of financial transactional activity. This role will work closely with the Commercial Sales and Projects Team to ensure timely and accurate transactions are maintained in the purchase and sales ledger. The role will also support the Commercial Accountant in the delivery of month end reporting, maintaining standard financial controls and supporting Group reporting requirements

General Duties/Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Accounts Payable process from new supplier on boarding to processing supplier payment
  • Managing the Accounts Receivable process from new customer on boarding to credit control chasing customers for payment
  • Support the Commercial Accountant in the completion of the monthly control account reconciliations, ensuring all ledger postings are up to date for payments and receipts to support a timely month end close process
  • Processing inter-company invoices and agreeing inter-company balances
  • Effectively manage the Accounts Inbox
  • Supporting the Commercial Accountant in internal audit reviews and the annual statutory audit
  • Engage with Management and local Operational Teams providing financial support and guidance

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years experience in a AP/Accounts Assistant role
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, able to prioritise a high volume of work and a wide range of tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and confident in dealing at all levels within an organisation to develop effective and collaborative working relationships
  • Driven individual with attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
  • Self motivated, flexible and able to prioritise own varied workload
  • Working in an accounts team where there is a high volume of work and a wide range of tasks
  • Sales and purchase ledger including month end control routines
  • Month end balance sheet control accounts including bank reconciliations
  • Dynamics 365 - Business Central/Navision (desirable)
