Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Our client is a looking for a Accounts Assistant to join their well established Law Firm based in Manchester City Centre. They strive to build a diverse workforce that reflects the community of Manchester and its surrounding areas. Job role
The role involves reporting to the Finance Manager and assisting in managing the finances of the law firm in various ways. Key responsibilities include monitoring and reconciling bank accounts, ensuring payments are correctly processed, and reconciling profits, debts owed to suppliers, partners, and clients. The role also requires making timely payments to clients and suppliers, raising sales invoices via Xero, and handling monthly client account reconciliations.

You will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements in finance processes, managing client and office account bank reconciliations, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, you will monitor billing team mailboxes and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries related to sales invoices, payments, and other requests.

Experience
- Understand SRA rules and regulations
- Detailed-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Time management and ability to prioritise workload independently
- Experience in Microsoft Office, Excel and Xero
- Ability to create effective professional relationships
- Interest and actively stay up to date legislation and regulatory changes is also important
