Finance Assistant

Manchester City Centre

I’m supporting a fantastic business based in the city centre of Manchester looking for a Finance Assistant to join their Finance Team.

This is a permanent full-time role offering a day a week WFH and fantastic benefits such as:

Responsibilities in the role:

Financial Transaction Processing:

  • Assist in processing invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
  • Maintain records of financial transactions in the company’s system.

Financial Reporting Support:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
  • Processing of leasing proposals and submissions for funder approval.
  • Processing of leasing documents into fund flow documents.

Data Management:

  • Maintain and update financial databases and records.
  • Ensure proper filing and organisation of financial documents.
  • Verify the accuracy of financial data entered into the accounting system.

Support in Auditing:

  • Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Vendor and Client Relations:

  • Liaise with vendors and clients for payment issues, discrepancies, or contract-related queries.
  • Assist in reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in finance operations.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
