Finance Assistant

I’m supporting a fantastic business based in the city centre of Manchester looking for a Finance Assistant to join their Finance Team.

Responsibilities in the role:
Financial Transaction Processing:
- Assist in processing invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
- Maintain records of financial transactions in the company’s system.
Financial Reporting Support:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Processing of leasing proposals and submissions for funder approval.
- Processing of leasing documents into fund flow documents.
Data Management:
- Maintain and update financial databases and records.
- Ensure proper filing and organisation of financial documents.
- Verify the accuracy of financial data entered into the accounting system.
Support in Auditing:
- Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Vendor and Client Relations:
- Liaise with vendors and clients for payment issues, discrepancies, or contract-related queries.
- Assist in reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in finance operations.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
