Title: Fixed Assets Account Assistant


Rate: £15.50 p/h

Summary:
An experienced Fixed Assets Account Assistant with a strong foundation in basic accountancy, reconciliations, and data analysis. Adept at managing capital expenditure processes, including asset additions, transfers, impairments, and disposals. Skilled in using advanced Excel functions to manipulate and analyze large data sets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial records. Strong communicator, able to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and senior management, ensuring seamless operations and timely reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Create Capital Expenditure References and upload them into the General Ledger system. Load budgets to enable Purchase Orders (POs) to be raised.
  • Produce management information accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Process stakeholder requests for additions, transfers, impairments, revaluations, and disposals within a 2-day Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Maintain refit, acquisition, and new build capital logs, ensuring everything is recorded in the correct period.
  • Periodically complete Balance Sheet Account code reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Process and reconcile fixed asset movements in the asset register.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Basic accountancy and reconciliation experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in manipulating formulas, using pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, and IF statements.
  • Experience with data analysis, capable of analyzing large datasets effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences clearly and concisely.
