Are you an experienced Sales Ledger/Purchase Ledger Assistant ready to grow your career?

We are recruiting an experienced Sales Ledger/Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a well-established business based in Bury who are looking for an additional person to join their team. The role will involve you working on a 360-credit control ledger and developing relationships with internal and external parties, overtime you will develop your skills further by also supporting the purchase ledger team. What you’ll do:

  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment and resolve outstanding debts.
    • Build strong relationships with customers to address and resolve payment queries.
    • Reference credit checks to assess and monitor customer creditworthiness.
    • Confirm customer orders once payments have been received.
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
    • Log invoices into the system and maintain accurate records.
    • Manage the registration of new supplier accounts.
    • Support month-end processes with accurate reporting and reconciliation.
  • Provide reception duties for the finance team when required, offering professional and friendly support.

If you’re a Accounts Assistant with at least 2 years of experience within a sales/purchase ledger function and understand the principals of transactional processing, as well as good at building relationships, then this role is a must for you to gain a wider experience across the Finance function. We’re looking for someone with exceptional organisational, communication and IT skills, who is self-motivated and thrives under pressure.
