Forever Teaching are excited to be working with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in need of a passionate and dedicated Behaviour Buddy to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to support vulnerable students and make a positive impact on those at risk of exclusion.

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Buddy, you will be working closely with students who require additional support to manage their behaviour and emotional well-being. Many of these pupils are at a critical point in their education and need someone who can offer both academic and emotional guidance to prevent exclusion and promote positive engagement in school life. Your role will be pivotal in helping students overcome barriers to learning and thrive in a safe and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students at risk of exclusion.
  • Develop positive relationships with students, building trust and confidence.
  • Offer emotional support to vulnerable students, helping them navigate challenges.
  • Help students develop appropriate social skills and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Work closely with the pastoral team, teachers, and external agencies to develop individualized support plans.
  • Support students with reintegration into the classroom and maintaining focus during lessons.
  • Monitor and track progress, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
