English teacher - Oldham - October start Prospero teaching are working with a ofsted graded 'good' secondary school in Oldham who are recruiting for a temporary teacher of English to join their team from after the October half term break for the rest of the academic year on a full time basis. You will be required to become fully immersed in the department and school, by attending departmental meetings and being available for parents evenings as and when required. As well as deliver lessons that are both engaging and academically appropriate to stretch the students in the classes. You will be teaching across both key stage 3 & 4. The role will be open to newly qualified teachers (ECT) as well as teachers who has more experience, we pay from M1 to M6 (sometimes we can also pay through threshold if you have done so, depending on the role) CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location Oldham Position English Teacher Start date October 2024 End date - July 2025 Minimum daily rate - £162.31 Hours 8:15AM 4:00PM EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent Previous experience working in a UK school Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided) Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however training can be provided) Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to obtain a new one Provide two professional references If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV today.
