Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic English teacher to join a secondary academy in south Manchester.

This is a temporary supply teaching role to cover a temporary secondment from January 2025 until the Easter holidays.

The Role

Teacher of English Language and Literature to key stage 3 and GCSE

Five days a week 8.20am to 3.30pm

Positive confident classroom management skills with a focus on Assessment for Learning.

Innovative teacher able to inspire with their excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English literature and language.

Experienced teacher with head of department experience or curriculum leader for English would be especially welcome to support a new head of English.

  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS or equivalent further education qualifications such as PGCE14+ or Certificate of Education

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK with no restrictions
