The RoleAs an English Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching that engages and motivates students with SEMH needs. You'll create a safe and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring all pupils feel supported and inspired to achieve their best. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that are differentiated to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs, promoting their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture, managing challenging behaviours with empathy and consistency.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching methods as needed.
  • Work closely with the SEN team, pastoral staff, and parents/carers to support the holistic development of each student.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, participating in staff meetings, training, and school activities.
